Free Group Runs
Come out and join our free group runs from Strides! Group runs go every Saturday morning from the store at 9:00 am.
All levels are welcome! And... join us every 3rd Saturday of the month
for the Strides Cookie Run, go for a run, enjoy a cookie and coffee
afterwards, call the store for more details!
Foundations for Training-
the following programs will provide you with the foundations of
training, however we recommend that you join a group lead by a properly
trained instructor to ensure your training is taylored appropriately!

Whether you are just beginning, are an avid road runner or are
somewhere in between, Strides Running Store has a clinic for you!
Starting Tuesday January 12th (download information):
Renowned coach Heather Wiebe will help you get
closer to that elusive PB in the 10k. Many Tuesday workouts will be held in the
Olympic Oval at the U of C. This clinic is for experienced runners looking to
improve their 10k time. Goal race is the St. Patrick’s Day Road Race held on
March 13th.
Starting Wednesday January 27th (download information):
The Marathon Clinic is an 18 week program
designed to help the first time or tenth time marathoner cross the finish line.
Programs are developed to help each runner stay healthy and feel strong on race
day. The clinic is coached by Strides associate Alan Cooper. Goal race is the
Scotiabank Calgary Marathon May 30th.
Starting Wednesday January 27th - (download information)Coached by Strides associate and local
tri-athlete Bruce Dreury this clinic is designed to help people complete their
first 10k or half marathon. Runners wishing to move up from the 10k to the half
or those who have run one or two races would also benefit from this clinic.
Goal races are the 10k and half-marathon held as part of the Calgary Marathon
weekend on May 30th. Starting Thursday January 21st - (download information)
The Beginner Running Clinic is an 8 week program
with the ultimate goal of running 5km or non-stop for 30 minutes. New runners
or those who want to get back into running will find the gradual buildup doable
and rewarding. Strides associate and local trainer Kim Berenbaum will coach
this clinic. Goal race is the March 13th St. Patrick’s Day Road
Race.
All clinics start at 6:30pm from the store.
