Silly me! I didn't start running until I was 48 years young, and my kids were grown up. I ran my first marathon at 50 and have now run 12 of them, including Boston. Just making up for lost time. It is just so much fun when you combine workouts with friends to make them all social events. Great people, good times....it doesn't get any better than that! I am proud and maybe a little embarrassed to say that I worked for 37 (!) years in the medical field. After I left that, I've worked a couple of retail jobs in my semi-retirement. Strides is the most fun 'cause everyone here, staff and customers, like to run, walk, hike and stay fit. My life in a nutshell!
