Staff Fit Comments: "The NB 1080 is an extremely plush and light shoe. It’s a soft ride from heel to toe and the rocker shape helps roll you from the back to the front making your longer days on the road or those sluggish recovery runs far more enjoyable. The technical knit upper flexes in all the right places and with the moulded heel cup keeping your foot right where in needs to be without any pressure the shoe feels like a sock with a sole attached. There is a seam midway up the stretch tongue that can cause problems with the comfort, lacing super loose across the first few holes or starting the laces above the seam seems to fix this problem. The upper has a good amount of stretch and can accommodate a wider foot as well as toe expansion on those longer days. While the shoe is soft, the blown rubber sole is very sturdy and can definitely go the distance for regular use and regular long mileage." ~ Allison
"Switched from Asics GT 2000s to the 1080/880. Lovely fit, though I will order the narrow fitting next time round to see if it fits my narrow feet better. Secure lacing and the cushioning is wonderful. Great road shoe and it will be interesting to see how it stands up to the pounding of the road. I'm not sold yet on the Ultra Heel flare design but time will tell. All in all, a lovely snug responsive yet cushioned road shoe." ~Tim
