Returning for its sixth iteration, the Challenger ATR 6 furthers its reputation for versatility. As its name suggests, this adaptable, all-terrain running shoe defies convention — performing light on the trail and smooth on the street, thanks to its midsole geometry and outsole construction. Dynamically designed for versatile traction, its distinctive outsole has zonal construction to optimize grip and weight. Developed with broad, closely spaced zonal lugs, the Challenger ATR 6’s outsole delivers smooth transitions from one surface to another. This season’s iteration utilizes recycled Unifi REPREVE® yarn derived from post-consumer waste plastic.

Staff Fit Comments:"It was with much excitement that I slipped on these untried trail shoes from Hoka. Out of the box, on my feet, 20k gravel road with rain, sleet, snow and muck to contend with. These slightly wider than normal fit shoes just fitted my narrow feet, thanks to a pair of weighty Wright Running II socks. Verdict? They are definitely on my shoe short list for the Lost Souls 100k in the Autumn. I would not wear them on steep technical terrain as they are just too wide, but on wider tracks and more forgiving terrain they are wonderful. They transitioned well between trail and road and gave me plenty of confidence on my tired legs. You need to give these cushy wonders from Hoka a spin. Chances are you will fall in love." ~Tim
