Run for L’Arche is more than just a race, it’s a celebration of inclusion, community, and friendship for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Now in its 16th year, this annual event is L’Arche Calgary’s largest fundraising initiative, inviting the entire community to come together in support of our mission to create a world where everyone belongs.
Participants of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to walk, jog, or run in this day of fun, camaraderie, and purpose. Every step you take helps raise vital funds that directly support adults with intellectual disabilities through our programs and services.
Since 2011, the Run for L’Arche has raised more than $795,000, thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our community.

Hosted on the beautiful trails in Fish Creek Park starting at Sikome Beach area, and running out past the Bow Valley Ranch Visitor Centre is the spot to kick off this series. This course is largely flat, but a few steep hills thrown in for fun! You will run from Sikome parking lot up through a forest, down a hill, along the river, past the Ranch House and out into the trails on the north side of Fish Creek.

The Rocky Mountain Soap Women's Run & Walk was originally started in 2008 with 600 participants, and has since grown to attract over 3,000 women for an active weekend getaway. A highlight of the season for many runners, this event has historically sold out within the first month of registration being opened!

The Banff Half Marathon and 10K offers one of the planets’ most incredible and beautiful running experiences, all in Canada's first National Park. Starting in the picturesque mountain village of Banff, participants will flow through a series of incredible natural, wildlife, and historical stages as they pass by the serene Vermilion Lakes and journey along the stunning Bow Valley Parkway. The return trek will travel alongside the Bow River and over Banff’s famous bridges finishing to cheering crowds in Banff’s downtown Central Park.

40th Anniversary Celebration!
The 100 mile course begins among the rolling hills of Longview in south western Alberta. At 6:00 a.m. the first heat of leg one runners will make their way along highway 541 towards the majestic Rocky Mountains. The course traverses the Highwood Pass on the highest paved highway in Canada and takes you into the Kananaskis Valley. Leg nine and ten runners will travel cross-country to finish in Kananaskis Village.

Bowmont Park lies along the northern bank of the Bow River in the northwest part of the city. The park was created in the early 1980s and occupies about 164 hectares. The name is a contraction of the names of the nearby communities of Bowness and Montgomery.

Half Marathon, 10km & 5km
The Half Marathon course follows a beautiful route through woodlands, beside mountain streams, and through a historic mine site, with stunning views of mountain scenery. The track is a combination of asphalt, gravel, and some wide trail, with several short climbs and winding paths. The half marathon features a gradual incline and then decline of roughly 70m through the last half of the course. There are five water stations on the half marathon course. Due to time restrictions on the course, walkers in the half marathon are strongly encouraged to be able to finish in 3 hours. All participants will received a locally-made, beautiful wooden finisher medal (no strollers/burleys or dogs allowed).
